北京时间2日凌晨，据英国媒体报道，在1.1亿英镑+浮动报价前锋伊萨克被纽卡斯尔联队拒绝之后，利物浦表态将退出谈判。此前多家媒体报道了利物浦报价伊萨克的消息，但各方面均确认报价被拒绝，利物浦不会提出下一份报价。
不过几乎就在同一时间，据纽卡斯尔跟队记者克雷格报道，伊萨克要求立即离队去利物浦，他无法再为纽卡斯尔效力。但俱乐部的立场也很明确，除非满足两个条件，否则不会出售伊萨克，即报价必须接近1.5亿英镑的英国转会纪录，其次必须找到替代者，纽卡斯尔不可能接受“卖人后再匆忙引援”的局面。在此事上，纽卡斯尔掌握主动权，伊萨克的未来取决于利物浦能否满足要价及替代者计划。
欧足联控制、道德与纪律委员会官方宣布，由于巴黎圣日耳曼在上赛季欧冠决赛中出现多个违反相关规定的行为，对其罚款148000欧元。对阵国米的欧冠决赛，巴黎圣日耳曼被指控有如下违规行为：侵入比赛场地、向场内投掷杂物、燃放烟花、损坏行为、传播不符合体育赛事的信息并损害欧足联声誉。
鉴于以上这些行为，欧足联做出以下具体处罚：巴黎圣日耳曼因侵入比赛场地和燃放烟花的举动被罚款10万欧元，并禁止该俱乐部球迷购买球队下一场客场比赛的球票，该禁令缓期两年执行；大巴黎因向场内投掷杂物被罚款3万欧元；球队因传播不符合体育赛事的信息及损害欧足联声誉被罚款1万欧元，此外大巴黎还因损坏行为被罚款8千欧元。
